Ǝ V Ā И is an experimental audio engineer and performance artist. The given name is the mirror of death in latvian language. While passionately drawn to intrumental music, he has been gifted with and exceptional vocal range, cultivated with an evergrowing set of techniques, complex overtones, whistle register and basso profondo. Creating a haunting soundscape depicting the beauty of nature and the violence of cataclysm, he engineered the sound of 'Dial on order', the Latvian melodic harsh noise band he is part of. His technical abilities are applied in real time to digital modular synthesizers, yet he does not shy from remixing his work for his multiple side projects. During his musical career, he recorded days worth of performances, that now stand as an intimate journey into an abyss of sound. His influences include industrial art, techno, opera, metal and grunge music. His main drive is the destruction of the simplistic concept of music, by evoking rythms from the uncrontrollable, organic chaos. He's based between Latvia and Italy, his home country.
